Ryan Dunn R.I.P.
No one deserves to die, and no death is cheap. However, the wave of internet mourning for his death is not wholly right. While I don’t mean to come across as thinking he deserved to die, because he didn’t, however the ‘concern’ and ‘care’ surrounding his death isn’t true consideration. People die around the world daily, in modern civil conflicts like Libya or Syria, or just due to starvation in countless parts of the world. People die of cancer & other uncurable diseases in our own countries, because of the ineffeciencies of our profit run pharmaceutical companies, or increasingly privatised healthcare systems. And yet this celebrity, who in all honesty has no merit that deserves any kind of fame, receives such sympathies? The only reason people care about his death is because he provided some entertainment to them at some point in their life. A selfish sympathy in many ways. Care about his death, but care about the big issues, AND the little ones.
This may seem insensitive, but frankly it’s how I feel. No he didn’t deserve to die, but ultimately, with drink driving, he brought it upon himself. Think about those who die unnecessarily due to numerous kinds of oppression across the world, aswell as Ryan Dunn.
